ANTWERP TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Sheriff’s investigators in Van Buren County are searching for the person who stole a 2006 Ford Escape after vandalizing a used car dealership in Antwerp Township.
It happened at Lawton Auto Sales on M-40 between 6 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Sheriff Dale Gribler said the burglar broke windows, set off a fire extinguisher and tossed multiple sets of keys into a mud puddle before driving away in the SUV.
Police later found the vehicle ditched in a vineyard.
