BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A man wanted on outstanding warrants is jailed after leading a vehicle pursuit in Battle Creek and a foot chase in Springfield.
Police say the suspect got into a loud domestic dispute with his girlfriend on Briarcliff Street in Battle Creek late Monday. He fled the area after he spotted police arriving at the scene.
He led officers on a high-speed chase through the city into Pennfield Township. He then fled to an apartment complex in Springfield, where he tried to make a run for it but was tracked down by a police dog.
The suspect was wanted for parole violation. Prosecutors will likely add fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest and possibly other charges.
