EAST LANSING, MI — Some Michigan State University students want the choice of staying remote just as the school plans to resume in-person classes next Monday.
A few students have even circulated a petition calling on MSU President Samuel Stanley Jr. to give students the option to continue taking their courses online.The petition so far has collected more than 1,150 signatures.
The spring semester began on Jan. 10 with only online classes as the school hoped to stop the spread of the COVID Omicron variant. The school’s mask mandate remains in place as classes resume on campus Jan. 31.
