GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO-AM) — Consumers Energy is warning its customers that severe thunderstorms and damaging winds expected through Thursday could cause power outages throughout Michigan’s lower peninsula.
Company spokesperson Roger Morgenstern says the Kalamazoo area and southwest Michigan could be affected.
He said employees are already bracing for an increase in outages.
Wind gusts are expected to exceed 60 mph in some areas of the state.
