BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A man who may have fled the scene of a vehicle fire in Battle Creek is jailed after pulling up in the front yard of a Carpenter Drive home in a front-end loader while high on drugs.
The loader was taken after it was found about a block away from the burned-out car at Morgan Drive East and Temple Road.
Officers were speaking to a resident at the address where the vehicle was registered when the loader arrived. The 29-year-old operating the machine was later arrested for unlawful driving, driving while under the influence and property destruction.
