KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety is looking for the person who robbed the Family Dollar on North Park Street at gunpoint.
They say the thief followed a manager into an office and struck him in the head multiple times with the firearm before 9 p.m. Thursday.
No shots were fired and the manager wasn’t seriously hurt. He did not require medical treatment.
Investigators say the man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and was seen leaving the area in a four-door sedan.
The suspect is described as a male in his 30s. He’s six feet tall, weighs 230 pounds and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and white shoes at the time of the incident.
