BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Battle Creek are seeking warrants against a suspect they believe may be responsible for a pair of drive-by shootings early Saturday.
The first shooting happened at about 12:45 a.m. in the 100 block of West Rittenhouse Avenue, leaving a young male with an arm wound and a woman bleeding from a wound to the leg.
Both are expected to survive the assault.
The second drive-by occurred about three hours later in the 100 block of Mosher Avenue.
The gunman apparently missed whoever he was shooting at in the second incident. Battle Creek police are not saying how they were able to identify the suspect and take him into custody after the second shooting.
They will be running tests and comparing eyewitness accounts to determine if the two shootings are connected.
