UPDATE, 8:30 p.m. – Police say Matthew Angel, the deceased man in this case, was traveling with his six-month-old German Shepherd Mix puppy, Luna, at the time of this crash.
According to a report from WWMT, Luna still has yet to be found at this time.
Anyone with information on Luna’s whereabouts is asked to contact police.

A two-vehicle accident Sunday evening in Van Buren County claimed the life of a Bangor man.
State Police troopers were called to Red Arrow Highway near 55th St in Lawrence Township at around 7 pm, and found that a tow truck that had been travelling west on Red Arrow had been struck by a Chevrolet pickup that had apparently crossed the center line and hit the tow truck head on.
The driver of the pickup, Matthew Angel, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tow truck, a 27 year old man from South Haven, was not injured.
Authorities report that alcohol is not suspected in the crash, and seat belt use is unknown.
The investigation is continuing.
MSP troopers were assisted at the scene by Pokagon Police, Hartford Police, the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department, and the Lawrence Fire Department.
