The Seattle Seahawks placed six players on the reserve/COVID-19 list Sunday, just two days before their rescheduled game Tuesday at Los Angeles against the Rams.
Players designated Sunday included starting right tackle Brandon Shell and starting cornerback D.J. Reed. Also placed on the list were running back Travis Homer and defensive end Kerry Hyder Jr.
Two practice-squad players also were listed: guard Pier-Olivier Lestage and cornerback Mike Jackson. Seattle has eight total players now on the list, along with wide receiver Tyler Lockett and running back Alex Collins.
The Seahawks’ game against the division-rival Rams was moved to Tuesday night after Los Angeles had as many as 29 players on the reserve/COVID-19 list, including players from the practice squad.
The Rams have since activated a number of key players in recent days, including wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and running back Darrell Henderson on Saturday, as well as star cornerback Jalen Ramsey on Sunday. The Rams still have 23 players listed.
Shell has started in all 10 games he has appeared in for the Seahawks this season, while Reed has started in each of the 12 games he has appeared with 65 tackles and a fumble recovery. Homer does not have a start, but has 146 yards rushing and a touchdown in 11 games, while Hyder has seven starts in 13 games with 30 tackles
