PORTAGE (WKZO) — Two Portage Fire Fighters are recovering from minor injuries they suffered battling a mobile home fire at 4323 Duchess Thursday afternoon.
The department got a call that the fire had broken out just before 4 p.m. and that it was possible that there was an occupant still inside the metal structure.
Despite the fact that the home was heavily involved in flames, two firefighters went inside to look for victims. There was no one home.
It took about 20-minutes to put out the flames.
One of the fire fighters was treated at the scene and the other was treated and released at Bronson Emergency.
Fire investigators will be on the scene Monday trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
