KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Western Michigan University men’s basketball team starts Mid-American Conference play Tuesday at University Arena against Kent State.
Head Coach Steve Hawkins says the Golden Flashes were picked to finish second in the MAC’s East Division this season for multiple reasons.
“Kent State is very athletic, a very long basketball team, and they play very well together,” Hawkins said. “Rob Senderoff, their coach there, is one of the best coaches, if not, the best coach, in the conference.”
The Broncos finished non-conference play Saturday with a 76-72 victory against Jacksonville.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on 96.5 WZOX-FM.
