KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Commissioners in Kalamazoo County have voted to stand pat on their leadership for the coming year.
John Taylor, a Democrat, was re-elected to chair the Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners during the group’s meeting Tuesday night. Jeff Heppler, a Republican, will serve as vice-chairperson.
Taylor said he is looking forward to a busy year for the county board.
“I think we’ve done a good job in 2015 and plan to continue that in 2016,” Taylor said.
He also said the experience of having a year under his belt as chairperson should help him steer a wiser course and avoid mistakes this year.
