BENTON HARBOR (WKZO-AM) — Six teenage girls are being sought after investigators say they assaulted a 14-year-old in Benton Harbor.
Footage of the beating was posted then later removed from Facebook, but not before investigators got a copy. They are now using the footage to track down the children involved in the fight, which occurred Tuesday on Lavette Street.
Public Safety Director Dan McGinnis says the victim required treatment for multiple abrasions, including cuts to her arms and face, and a neck injury. They have solicited the help of the Michigan State Police Major Case Unit to help them break down the video, which could become primary evidence if the case ever gets to a criminal trial.
