KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A capacity crowd is expected at Lawson Arena this Saturday when the Western Michigan hockey team hits the ice against No. 15 Notre Dame.
WMU head coach Andy Murray said this weekend’s series is the start of a difficult stretch for the Broncos, which includes 14 games against ranked opponents.
He also said the Irish are pretty good, winning four out of their last six.
“They’re playing extremely well,” Murray said. “They’ve got a number of highly-rated draft picks on their team, and they have some solid seniors.”
WMU plays Notre Dame in South Bend on Friday at 7:30 p.m. They return to Kalamazoo for an 8 p.m. game on Saturday.
Both contests will be carried on 96.5 WZOX-FM.
