CROTON TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Investigators are waiting for the medical examiner to take a closer look at the body found inside an SUV submerged in the Muskegon River.
Investigators say the victim is a white male. They also believe, at this stage, foul play wasn’t a factor.
The vehicle was found Thursday by river guide Jay Allen, who was fishing at the time.
“It’s sad to think that somebody lost their life while we were enjoying a nice day on the river,” Allen said.
The speculation is that the driver made a wrong turn onto the icy boat ramp near Croton Dam, sliding down the slope into the water.
