PARK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Bronson man is injured after he was thrown from a tractor during a crash in St. Joseph County.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. Saturday on North Centreville Road near Featherstone Road in Sherman Township, north of Sturgis.
Deputies say the 55-year-old man was driving a 1947 Ford 9N tractor on North Centerville when a 2005 GMC Canyon, driven by a 53-year-old Sturgis man, rear ended the tractor.
The man on the tractor was thrown off and unresponsive when first responders arrived.
He was transported to the Kirsch Municipal Airport and then airlifted to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Authorities do not believe speed or alcohol were factors at the time.
