KALAMAZOO (WKZO)– The coldest air of the season so far has descended on west Michigan.
Forecasters say we can look forward Lake Effect Snow, sub-zero wind chills and unpredictable road surfaces for much of the week.
We can also throw fashion out the window, focusing more on comfort and dressing in layers, wearing clumpy boots and anything with hoods.
Driving conditions may be the worst on side roads and rural roads.
Plow trucks have been focusing on the main roads but when it gets this cold, even salt doesn’t work. It could get even worse tomorrow morning as the Lake Effect Machine is expected to crank up tonight.
There are even some school closings this morning to the far north and very southern counties in Michigan.
Winter has definitely arrived. Slow down and your chances of surviving in good shape will improve.
