MANLIUS TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A man is in custody for the late 2015 assault of a 25-year-old woman in her Manlius Township garage.
Christopher Allen was jailed on unrelated charges at around 11 a.m. Thursday in the 5600 block of 136th Avenue. Allegan County Sheriff’s investigators say he was found inside a suspicious vehicle near the scene of last September’s incident, which investigators say forced a lockdown at nearby Hamilton schools last year after Allen bolted from the residence and vanished behind an outbuilding.
Allen has been arraigned on multiple felony charges. Detectives say it’s still not clear what prompted the attack.
The woman was reportedly pulled from her vehicle during the incident, suffering minor injuries.
