KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Western Michigan University hockey returns to National Collegiate Hockey Conference play this weekend on the road against No. 14 Denver University.
Head Coach Andy Murray said the Pioneers are on a hot streak.
“Denver has won four games in a row and they swept last weekend at Nebraska-Omaha, one of the best teams in the country,” Murray said. “They have a high-octane offense and can really move the puck.”
The Broncos split a non-conference series last weekend against No. 13 Notre Dame.
Puck-drop at Magness Arena is set for 9:30 p.m. Friday. The game will be carried on 96.5 WZOX-FM in the Kalamazoo area.
