CROTHERSVILLE, IND. (WKZO-AM) — A 100-year-old woman from Portage has been killed in what may have been a weather-related auto wreck in southern Indiana.
Eleanor Burklow was riding with her daughter, Sharon, and her son-in-law, Richard Gulbis of Kalamazoo, when Indiana State Police say their SUV slid on a patch of ice on Interstate 65 near Crothersville and overturned.
Burklow died at the scene from her injuries.
The couple, both of whom are in their 70s, were seriously injured. They were transported to a hospital in Louisville, Ky.
