BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Investigators say electrical issues may be to blame for a fire that caused $12,000 damage to a four-unit apartment building in Battle Creek.
Firefighters were called to the fourplex in the 200 block of Howland Street before 1 a.m. Tuesday. Flames were found inside the walls and attic.
No injuries were reported and the tenants were able to evacuate the building safely.
Three of the four units remain habitable. It’s not clear how many people were displaced by the fire.
