BLOOMINGDALE (WHTC-AM) — A two-vehicle crash late Friday afternoon in Bloomingdale hospitalized both drivers, but their legal troubles may linger long after their physical ailments have healed.
According to Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputies, a 59-year-old Paw Paw woman was driving an SUV southbound on 44th Street when she drove through a stop sign at County Road 390 and was broadsided by a westbound minivan, driven by a 46-year-old Allegan man. The two drivers were taken to Allegan General Hospital and Borgess-Pipp Hospital respectively for treatment of minor injuries.
It was learned that neither vehicle was insured at the time of the crash. No names were immediately disclosed, as the case will be turned over to the county prosecutor’s office for review of possible criminal charges.
