UNDATED (WKZO-AM) — GasBuddy.com says the average price for a gallon of fuel in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek is down to $1.58, with several stations selling fuel below the $1.50 mark.
Analyst Patrick DeHaan said prices haven’t been that low since 2008.
“That’s down almost 20 cents just in the last week alone,” DeHaan said.
But he also said fears over the major northeastern winter storm have caused crude oil prices to surge, which means pain at the pump is likely around the corner.
“Beware, there may be a price adjustment on Monday,” DeHaan said. “I would take the opportunity to fill up Sunday night.”
The statewide average is $1.62.
