PORTAGE (WKZO-AM) — A 25-year-old from Kalamazoo is hospitalized in critical condition after a two-car crash in Portage.
It happened at around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday after a 2003 Toyota Rav 4 ignored the traffic light at the intersection and attempted to make a left turn onto Meredith Street from Sprinkle Road. The vehicle was then struck by a 2004 Ford Ranger.
Portage Public Safety says the wreck remains under investigation. It’s not clear what prompted the driver to attempt the turn.
