KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Kalamazoo woman is being treated for gunshot wounds and her boyfriend is being sought for questioning after a domestic assault in the 700 block of Duke Lane on Sunday.
Kalamazoo Public Safety says first-responding officers found the 20-year-old with gunshot wounds to her shoulder and arm at about 11:30 p.m. She had escaped to a neighbor’s apartment, and her boyfriend had walked away on foot.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Bronson Methodist Hospital right around midnight. She is expected to recover.
A K9 track was unsuccessful, but efforts to try and find the suspect continue.
