KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Portage man has set up a GoFundMe page to help the families affected by the random shootings in Kalamazoo that left six dead and two severely wounded on Saturday.
Phil DeHaan said he felt compelled to post the listing on the popular crowd-funding website after getting out of church on Sunday.
“There’s a verse in the Bible that says, ‘whoever knows the right thing to do, but fails to do it, is sin,’” DeHaan said. “I got out of church that day and just wanted to touch people’s lives with real, true love.”
DeHaan is hoping to raise at least $20,000.
