KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A person reported missing a few days ago from a home on Runnymede Drive in Kalamazoo Township has turned up dead.
Christian Rey, 21, left his car, his diabetes medication and his cell phone behind and only took a handgun when he disappeared two weeks ago.
Utility employees working near the junction of the U.S. 131 business loop found his body in a wooded area about a mile and a half from his home. It appears he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The family expressed their gratitude for all the efforts to find him but now want private time to grieve.
