KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Community Foundations in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek are joining up with the United Way to establish a fund to help with the immediate and long term needs of the victims of last Saturday’s shooting deaths.
They also plan to use some of the money to fund vigils and support efforts to reduce violence in the community.
All three organizations started getting calls from people who wanted to know how they could help the day after the shootings.
