BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — It was weekend filled with funeral services, memorials, vigils and salutes at sporting events following a shooting rampage that left six dead and two others seriously wounded last weekend.
About 100 cars led by a motorcycle escort joined a procession from Mattawan to Calvary Bible Church in Kalamazoo for the funeral of Tyler and Richard Smith.
A balloon launch was held at the Kia Dealership on Stadium Drive where they died on Feb. 20.
Separate funeral services were also held for Barbara Hawthorn and Mary Joe Nye in Battle Creek and Mary Lou Nye in Bridgman.
Services for Mary Jo Nye took place Sunday.
