KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Charges will likely be pursued against at least one, perhaps all four of the occupants of a 1996 Ford Contour that crashed in the 400-block of North Westnedge Avenue during the height of the afternoon commute Monday.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies reported the vehicle stolen.
Witnesses say the car was traveling south at a high rate of speed when lost control, side-swiped another vehicle, veered off the road and into a utility pole.
Two of the suspects had to be cut out of the wreckage. It shut down the roadway during the afternoon drive and into the early evening.
All four were taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital’s emergency room for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
It’s all being investigated by Kalamazoo Public Safety and will be turned over to the prosecutor for possible charges.
