KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — There have been reports that suspected mass murderer Jason Dalton and his wife were having marital difficulties before he allegedly began shooting people on Feb. 20, but his wife is knocking down that report this week.
Carole Dalton has released a statement through her attorney that there was no estrangement or any financial problems at the time.
She has since filed for divorce.
Something happened during dinner that day that Paul Vlachos, her attorney, will not talk about, but he also said none of the triggers are usually associated with mass killings were evident with Jason Dalton.
Dalton is charged with six counts of open murder and two counts of attempted murder.
