NEW YORK (WKZO) — A New York fundraiser for the victims of the mass shooting in Kalamazoo will be staged Monday night in the Big Apple.
Headlined by WMU Alum Marin Mazzie and Scott Burkell, the cast is full of singers, actors and dancers who have Kalamazoo connections, among them Janis Siegel and the Manhattan Transfer, Tom Wopat, Manna Nichols, Jessica Vosk, Hannah Elless, Mikey Winslow, Erik Sisco, Amy Persons, and many more.
It’s called “KALAMAZOO STRONG: A BENEFIT CABARET” and will begin at 9:30pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in Manhattan.
The organizers of the “Help Now Fund” have started a social media campaign to encourage local residents to notify anyone they know in New York about the event.
