BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — One person is jailed for intentionally setting a fire at a single-family home in the 200 block of Battle Creek Avenue, officials with the Battle Creek Fire Department said.
Arson investigators said it could have been much worse. The fire caused about $1,000 damage to the southwest corner of the home.
The occupants were in the process of evacuating when firefighters arrived at around 2:30 a.m. Friday.
No injuries were reported.
