KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety is looking for two people in their 20s who robbed and assaulted the clerk at the Phillips 66 gas station on Stadium Drive in Kalamazoo on Thursday.
The men came in soon after the store opened at 6 a.m. wearing ski masks, flashing a gun and demanding cash.
One of the robbers struck the clerk with the gun several times, according to the news release. The victim refused medical treatment despite suffering a minor injury.
The robbers fled on foot. A police dog lost their scent in the area of the Stadium Drive Apartments.
The suspects were wearing dark clothing and of average weight and height.
