KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Rep. Jon Hoadley, D-Kalamazoo, will host a forum and resource fair on the dangers of lead in Kalamazoo on Thursday.
The event will “inform Kalamazoo residents about the dangers of lead” and “provide on-site lead testing, nutrition education and other important information regarding water quality, lead poising and how to address lead contamination,” according to a press release from Hoadley’s office.
The event includes a pair of presentations: One from Dr. Gillian A. Stoltman, the director of Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services, and another from Dr. Cheryl Dickson from the Western Michigan University School of Medicine.
The event will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Douglass Community Association facility, 1000 W. Patterson St.
