BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Two men have been arrested after Battle Creek Police say they got a complaint from a drug dealer that he had been robbed of his dope, his cell phone and his wallet.
He had met the two suspects because he believed they wanted to make a drug purchase.
Instead they had the drug dealer follow them to the 100 block of Sharon Avenue, where one of them produced a gun and ripped him off.
They left the scene in a vehicle. Police were able to track that car to Capital Avenue and arrest the two suspects, recovering some of the stolen property including 20 ounces of Marijuana.
They also searched a second address on Meachum Avenue and recovered more evidence.
Now the prosecutor is sorting out who will be charged and what the charges will be.
