PARCHMENT (WKZO-AM) — It’s not a drive-in restaurant but Kalamazoo Township Police say that didn’t stop a drunken driver from crashing through the front of Geno’s Golden Pizza and Pub on Riverview Drive in Parchment at just about 3 a.m. Saturday
The business was closed at the time so having a car punch through a wall and rearrange all the furniture didn’t result in any injuries.
That apparently included the driver who kept trying to get out of the car but was forced to stay put by a motorcyclist until police arrived. The biker had witnessed the crash and decided to step in.
The driver was taken into custody.
The owners of the business were able to bring in a crew and board up the hole in the building, making temporary repairs in time to open later that day.
