BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A Barry County man has been killed fleeing from police.
An alcohol fueled argument between a woman and a man parked in a car at Quimby and Tanner Lake Roads in Barry County turned dangerous and deadly at about 2 a.m. Sunday.
Deputies say 35-year old David Scott of Hastings fled from a State Trooper dispatched to check out a suspicious vehicle in Rutland Township.
The Pontiac Grand Prix only got about a quarter mile before the driver lost control and crashed.
Scott was dead at the scene.
His 28-year old female passenger was injured but is expected to recover.
State police are investigating.
