CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — One of the drivers responsible for striking and killing a motorcyclist this past weekend has been charged with a 15-year felony for allegedly causing the death of a 65-year-old man.
Dagmar White, 60, told investigators she didn’t see Larry Welton and his motorcycle in time as she was heading down West Michigan Avenue near Collier Road in Bedford Township on Sunday afternoon.
They claim she rear-ended the bike, sending it off the road out of control.
Accident investigators say her preliminary blood-alcohol breath test was twice the legal limit.
White is charged with driving drunk and causing a death. Bond was set at $10,000.
