KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A gunman remains at large after a shooting in the 100 block of East Prouty Street on Kalamazoo’s north side.
Kalamazoo Public Safety Lt. David Ostrander said it occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m. He said it began as a fight between teens.
Adults got involved, perhaps to try and break up the fight, then someone pulled a gun and shot the young male victim.
He was was taken by private vehicle to Borgess Medical Center with a non-lethal wound to the upper torso.
His name age and condition were not released.
Investigators are working on identifying a suspect.
