ALBION (WKZO-AM) — One man is in custody for the shooting death of a 58-year-old from Albion.
The shooting reportedly ended an argument over a $6 debt, according to detectives. Ernest Lee Embry has been identified as the victim.
Embry was visiting friends in the 100 block of East Pine Street on Wednesday just before 10 p.m. when he was shot multiple times.
Officers attempted CPR, but Embry was pronounced dead at the scene.
Albion police questioned two men Thursday. One was taken into custody and the other was determined to be a witness and let go.
Formal charges against the suspect could come Friday.
