DEARBORN (WKZO-AM) — AAA of Michigan says gas prices are up statewide six cents to an average of $2.17 a gallon.
That is just a penny lower than the national average, pollster Trilby Lundberg said. She said prices could go a few cents higher because crude prices are up, and because more-expensive summer blends are about to reappear at the nation’s pumps.
She also said demand is at record levels because gas prices are so low.
Despite the fact that consumption is already at summertime levels and crude prices are rising, AAA predicts we may see some of the lowest gas prices we have seen during the tourist season in decades.
