PAW PAW (WKZO-AM) — Van Buren County Sheriff’s deputies have jailed a Paw Paw man after he was found naked and high on methamphetamine while behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle.
The arrest came during a traffic stop in the 55000 block of Paw Paw Road at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday after a woman told 911 dispatchers that she had just watched the 41-year-old drive away in her car.
Investigators say the man had been hospitalized earlier that weekend for a drug overdose. He had also crashed another vehicle just hours before the incident, fleeing the scene.
The man was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs. Charges related to the earlier crash are pending, according to a press release.
