KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A man and a woman from Kalamazoo have been booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail after a chase of a stolen vehicle that began on the U.S. 131 business loop in Kalamazoo Township.
It happened early Monday after Kalamazoo Township police failed to pull over the vehicle during a traffic stop.
The chase resumed ar around 3 a.m. after the vehicle was located at Douglas Avenue and West Mosel Street. Police say the suspects bolted again, but hit a snag after reaching a dead end in the 2700 block of Woodward Avenue.
The pursuit ended after both people inside the car attempted to flee the scene on foot.
Charges against both suspects are pending. The vehicle was also linked to a previous retail fraud case, according to a press release.
Both suspects have not been identified, but are said to be in their 20s.
