Warrants have been issued charging 30-year-old Terrence Shelby, Jr. of Benton Harbor with the murder of a high school student last week.
He is accused of shooting 18-year-old Grady Manns in the chest early Thursday following an argument at Shelby’s home at 154 East Empire around late last Wednesday night.
Manns’ body was found around 7:15 the next morning in a vacant lot at Empire and McAlister Avenues.
That’s about a block from the suspected scene of the crime.
Charges of open murder and felony firearm have been authorized by the prosecutor’s office against Shelby.
He’s is being held in the Berrien County Jail pending formal arraignment on Monday.
