PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP (WTVB-AM) — The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department says a fight over a 13-year-old girl led to a teenager stabbing another teenager early Wednesday morning at a home in the 100 Block of Maxwell in Pennfield Township.
A 15-year-old boy sustained a serious laceration to his left shoulder. The victim was transported to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say another 15-year-old broke into the residence and fought with the victim, resulting in the victim being stabbed. The juvenile suspect was lodged at the Calhoun County Juvenile Home.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmett Township Department of Public Safety, Battle Creek Police Department, Pennfield Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance.
