WAYLAND (WKZO-AM) — A 61-year-old man is reported in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle trying to retrieve a television from the lanes on U.S. 131 south of Wayland.
Michigan State Police say the man, who is from the Shelbyville area, was airlifted to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids with multiple injuries after the incident, which occurred about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
They say he was was struck while trying to drag the television to the median.
His name has not been released.
