KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — It’s the last Greek Festival in Kalamazoo.
It’s the 40th year that the Skartsiaris family, a family of immigrants from Greece, have put on the summer festival that began to thank Kalamazoo for community success.
They are going out with a bang. Rick Springfield will the headlining the acts that will also feature the Verve Pipe and Drop35. There will also be traditional Greek entertainment and lots of hand-prepared Greek Food.
Stacy Skartsiaris is hinting that they will be back with a different event, but not offering details.
The festival will be held June 2-4 at Arcadia Creek Festival Place on East Kalamazoo Avenue.
