KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Few details are being released, but Kalamazoo Public Safety is investigating a shooting in the city’s Douglas Neighborhood that left one man hospitalized with gunshot wounds to the face and leg.
Officers responded to the scene at Douglas Avenue and Mason Street on a report of several gunshots after 3:30 a.m. Sunday. The victim arrived at Borgess Medical Center at about the same time officers arrived at the scene of the shooting.
The 23-year-old victim is reported to be in stable condition after surgery.
The gunman remains at large.
