BARRY COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — Barry County dispatched their Marine Patrol to Algonquin Lake near the Old Iroquois Trail at 9:30 Friday night, when they got calls about a capsized boat with two people in the water.
They were able to rescue a 37-year-old woman from Hastings and a 30-year-old man from Orangeville.
Apparently they were not entirely happy to be rescued.
Deputies say alcohol was involved in the nautical misadventure. The male was plucked out of the water and apparently struggled with officers.
He has since been charge with resisting and obstructing and violating probation.
The woman was allowed to leave.
Their names have not been released. .
